"Music is the language we all understand. We never had to learn it. We just have to remember it. "

Martin Schlögl

Martin Schloegl is a singer songwriter Lake Constance, Switzerland, and a versatile musician whose compositions invite you to think, reflect, and sense music on deeper levels. Written primarily on the guitar, his songs move between the lively and the contemplative, between humor and depth, and sometimes the sounds speak entirely for themselves in the form of purely acoustic compositions.

For Martin, music has always been more than performance. It is a lifelong search for truth, a peeling back of layer after layer to reach something real. That search has led him deep into his own inner life, and to one central conviction: true change can only come from within. That is where all inspiration begins. And that is the idea behind music to Remember, songs that help us remember who we truly are, not what others want us to believe.

Authenticity is not just a word in Martin’s world. It is a way of living. In an age of constant digital noise and infinite distraction, he believes deeply in the value of the analog, in slowing down, in being present, in choosing depth over speed. As an analog musician, he sees music as one of the most powerful antidotes to the overwhelm of the digital world. A way to come back to yourself. To feel something real. And as the digital world continues to grow, as more of our lives move behind screens and into algorithms, the acoustic guitar live performance becomes not less important but more. There is something that happens between a musician and an audience in a room together that no stream, no recording, and no playlist can replicate. A shared breath. A moment that exists only once, only there, only then. That is what Martin lives for, and that conviction shapes everything he does, from the way he writes a song to the way he shows up for the people he performs for.

As a storytelling singer songwriter, Martin writes in German, English, and Spanish, crafting lyrics that encourage courage, self-trust, and the quiet knowledge that every answer already lives inside us. He is equally at home on a concert stage and in an intimate live music setting, where the connection between musician and listener becomes something almost tangible. As one of the available musicians Lake Constance has to offer, he brings this same depth and presence to private events, offering individual compositions for special occasions, custom acoustic music for funerals and memorial services, and heartfelt performances for weddings and celebrations of life.

Whether you want to share a unique moment with guests or are looking to book a singer songwriter for a deeply personal gathering, his music creates an atmosphere that lingers long after the last note fades.

Martin came to music the long way around. After years of searching for work that felt meaningful, he finally found his answer in 2012 and has been on the road with music as his vocation ever since.

His album Trust and Devotion was released in 2020. From 2013 to 2023, he led the music project Xumbalu – the play of music, a colorful collection of concerts, compositions, body percussion workshops, group singing, and sound baths.

For more than 20 years, he has been supporting two Bolivian school projects, collecting donations for guitars and creating opportunities for local music education.

His favorite quote: “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and do exactly that. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive.” — Howard Thurman
